Antigua & Barbuda, Cayman Islands open Caribbean Qualification Group C with victories

- Antigua & Barbuda and the hosts, Cayman Islands opened Group C of the Digicel Caribbean Championship 2008, which is the qualifier to the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup™, victories over Bermuda and Saint-Martin, respectively, at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in Grand Cayman on Wednesday.
Jaime Thomas scored twice, while Okeem Challenger and Randolph Burton each added another for Antigua & Barbuda in the 4:0 triumph against Bermuda.

- Surinam eliminated Dominica from Group B of the Digicel Caribbean Championship 2008, which is the qualifier to the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup™, with a 3:1 win at the Georgetown’s National Stadium on Saturday.
Marlon Felter, Ferdinand Jap-A-Joe and Clifton Sanduvliet all scored for Surinam, while Prince Austrie had the only goal for Dominica in the loss.
