Action from Central American U-20 qualifying match between Honduras (white jersey) and host Panama on July 12, 2016, in Panama City.
PANAMA CITY, Panama – Three teams are still alive for two berths to the 2017 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship as the table tightened further in Central American qualifying after a pair of games on Thursday at the Estadio Maracana.
In the opener, El Salvador earned a 4-0 win over Nicaragua -- a result that eliminated the Pinoleros from contention. El Salvador now has four points, leveling it in third place with host Panama, which played first-place and already-qualified Honduras to a 1-1 draw.
Second-place Guatemala (5 points) was idle.
