SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic โ€“ The 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup is in the history books following Cavalier FCโ€™s win on away goals after tying 2-2 on aggregate against Cibao FC in the final on Tuesday at Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

The champions led the way with top performances throughout the tournament, including the following players who earned individual distinctions.

Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank: Dwayne Atkinson, Cavalier FC

Dwayne Atkinson was named the recipient of the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank for his involvement in helping Cavalier FC win the Concacaf Caribbean Cup.

Atkinson was a defining player in the final with the series-winning goal in the 54โ€™ of the second leg, tying the series at 2-2 to win on away goals. He also assisted the lone goal of the first leg.

Throughout the 2024 edition, the Jamaican midfielder scored six times and provided five assists for Cavalier FC. He contributed to his clubโ€™s goal tally in six of eight matches during the tournament and had multiple goal contributions on three occasions.

 

 

Best Goalkeeper Award: Vino Barclett, Cavalier FC

Vino Barclett was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament for his play with champions Cavalier FC. The Saint Lucia international was a key figure in the final with 11 saves and a clean sheet across the two legs.

Barclett stepped in for the final group match and the knockout stages, tallying 17 saves in five appearances. He posted three clean sheets in consecutive fashion, going back-to-back in the semifinals.

 

 

Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco: Shaquille Stein, Cavalier FC

Shaquille Stein finished the tournament with the Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco, for his eight goals with Cavalier FC. Stein had three multi-goal games in the 2024 edition.

The Surinamese forward had four goals in the group stage, including a brace, and added another quartet in the knockout stage. He scored a hat-trick in the second leg of the semifinals against Moca FC and the lone goal of the first leg in the final against Cibao FC.

 

 

Young Player Award, presented by Aramco: Jalmaro Calvin, Cavalier FC

Jalmaro Calvin is the winner of the Young Player Award, presented by Aramco, for his role in helping Cavalier FC win its first Concacaf Caribbean Cup.

The 21-year-old contributed two goals and three assists throughout the tournament. He accumulated 19 attempts in the 2024 edition, including a brace in the final group match against Arnett Gardens. He was active in attack in the final, with three on-target shots in the first leg and a shot off the woodwork in the second leg.

 

 

Fair Play Award: Cavalier FC

Cavalier FC earned the Fair Play Award as the team that best conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
