MIAMI, Florida – Two massive achievements are within reach for Jamaican side Cavalier, as they host fellow Jamaican club Harbour View in the second leg of the 2023 Concacaf Caribbean Cup semifinals on Tuesday night at the Sabina Park Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Cavalier won the first leg away with authority in a 5-0 final and are on the verge of claiming not only a place in the Caribbean Cup Final, but also clinching a berth in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Leading the way throughout has been striker Shaniel Thomas, who scored in the first leg to give him eight goals in the tournament.

Thomas has also gotten plenty of support from players such as Jalmaro Calvin and Orlando Russell. Calvin has had a hand in six of the team’s 16 goals in the tournament, with three goals and three assists, while Russell was a force in the first leg with two assists.

Harbour View face a very tall task in trying to overturn a 5-0 deficit on aggregate, with Cavalier also owning five away goals.

However, it is a great opportunity for Harbour View to get themselves ready for the next round, whether it is in the Final or in the crucial Third-Place Match which will serve as a winner-take-all contest for a Champions Cup berth.

Harbour View’s dynamic duo throughout the tournament has been the pairing of Shaquiel Bradford and Omar Thompson. Bradford has three goals and an assist and leads the team in shots (17), while Thompson has two goals in the tournament.

In the middle of the park Jahshaun Anglin has been important as well and showed that by making three ball recoveries and completing 52 passes in the first leg.
