SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic – Cibao FC won 1-nil against Real Hope FA in the second leg of their semifinal’s series in the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup on Thursday at Cibao FC Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.
Rivaldo Correa struck inside the box in the 10’ to place Cibao in the lead and extend the Dominican Republic club’s lead to 4-2 on aggregate.

Clifford Louis Jean struck from distance in the 14' as the visitors attempted to get on the scoreboard but Cibao goalkeeper Miguel Lloyd was there for the save.
Lloyd cut off another promising attack from Real Hope in the 29' as Jeudy Jhonson tried to find Angelo Exilus inside the box.
Ernesto Trinidad tried to extend the lead for the hosts in the 49' but was denied by Real Hope goalkeeper Gooly Elien.
Exilus, who struck twice in the first leg, had an attempt inside the box in the 80’ but was wide of the left post.
Miguel Lloyd cut another attempt from Real Hope in the 90’+2, as Elison Duce tried to connect with Exilus, to collect his clean sheet.
Cibao FC advances to the 2024 Caribbean Cup Final to face Cavalier FC. The Dominican Republic side also clinched its participation in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup by winning the series.
Real Hope FA moves on to the third place series against Moca FC to decide the final Champions Cup berth from the Caribbean region.
