Moca FC stay unbeaten in Caribbean Cup

MOCA, Dominican Republic – Moca FC extended its lead atop Group B with a 3-1 victory against Ouanaminthe FC in Group B of the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup on Wednesday at Estadio Moca 85 in Moca, Dominican Republic.

Jason Yambatis put the hosts in front in the 21' with a strike from close range to place the finishing touch on a free-kick opportunity.

Fredelin Philistin tied the encounter in the 27' with a header inside the box to connect with a cross from Roody Etienne.

Gustavo Ascona regained the lead for Moca in the 65' with a penalty kick conversion.

Frantz Moise received a red card in the 76' to leave the visitors with ten men.

Víctor Sánchez sealed the victory in the 86' with a shot from outside the box as Moca won its second match of the campaign.

Moca FC improved its record to 2-1-0 and continues to lead the group with seven points. The club shifts its focus to its fourth and final match of the group stage against Grenades FC on October 1. 

Ouanaminthe FC has two remaining matches to seek its place in the next round. The club will face Grenades FC next Tuesday at the Estadio Moca 85 in Moca, Dominican Republic.
