MIAMI — The 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup has concluded, and Cavalier FC has lifted its first championship. Many players delivered outstanding performances, yet these eleven stood out the most in their respective positions.
Here is a look at the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup Best XI:
Goalkeeper
Vino Barclett, Cavalier FC – Barclett was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament, tallying 17 saves and three clean sheets in five appearances. He was a key man in the final with 11 saves and a clean sheet across the two legs.
Defenders
Ernesto Trinidad, Cibao FC – Trinidad was involved in goal creation for Cibao with an assist and two shots across the two legs in the final. He provided five total shots throughout the campaign and had an 86% pass accuracy from 201 attempts.
Jeovanni Laing, Cavalier FC – Laing was a reliable man in the Cavalier backline with six steals in the final, including two in the first leg, contributing to a clean sheet effort. He finished the campaign with 21 steals, the most of any player.
Richard King, Cavalier FC – King contributed three steals and one shot on target in the final, forming part of a clean sheet. He also contributed seven shots over the entire campaign and featured an 87% accuracy from 208 passes.
Huguens Michel, Real Hope FA – Michel had three steals and five shots across the two legs of the third-place series to help Real Hope qualify for its first Concacaf Champions Cup. He had nine steals overall and delivered an 87% pass accuracy from 239 attempts.
Midfielders
Jalmaro Calvin, Cavalier FC – Calvin was the winner of the Young Revelation Award, presented by Aramco, as the best Young Player of the tournament, contributing two goals and three assists overall. He was active in the final, with three on-target shots in the first leg and a shot off the woodwork in the second encounter.
Jean López, Cibao FC – Lopez continued his stellar form into the final with three shots on target. He was the player with the second-most passes in the campaign, with 427, and featured an impressive 93% accuracy with 395 completed.
Dwayne Atkinson, Cavalier FC – Atkinson received the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank, and finished the tournament as the top assist man with five. He also scored six goals, making him the player with the highest goal involvement in the tournament, and was a key man in the championship series with a goal and an assist across the two legs.
Forwards
Angelo Exilus, Real Hope FA – Exilus was one of the best scorers of the campaign with six goals and 16 shots to lead the attack for Real Hope and help the club qualify for the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Rivaldo Correa, Cibao FC – Correa had 27 scoring attempts to lead all players in the tournament and led Cibao with six goals. He scored in the final to place his club, momentarily, in the lead on aggregate.
Shaquille Stein, Cavalier FC – Stein won the Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco, for his eight goals. He scored the opening goal in the final to help Cavalier claim the Concacaf Caribbean Cup.
