KINGSTON, Jamaica – Cavalier FC won 1-nil against Cibao FC in the first leg of the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup Final on Tuesday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Shaquille Stein struck the opening goal in the 20' after connecting with a through ball from Dwayne Atkinson inside the box. The goal marks Stein’s eighth of the campaign and extends his lead in the Golden Boot race.

Jalmaro Calvin attempted to extend the lead in the 67’ with a shot from the edge of the box, but Cibao goalkeeper Miguel Lloyd put a stop on the Cavalier counterattack.

Lloyd had a sliding save in the 72’ to deny Shaquille Stein his brace.

Cavalier goalkeeper Vino Barclett punched away an attempt in the 85’ to deny Rivaldo Correa off a corner kick.

Seconds later, Jalmaro Calvin headed away what could have been an “Olimpico” from a Juan Díaz corner kick.
