MIAMI — The 2024 Central American Cup concludes its fourth week on Thursday, as the 20 best clubs compete to be crowned champions in early December.

The matchday will feature three first-time encounters in the Central American Cup. CD Águila and Club Olimpia meet with first place in Group C at stake to conclude the night.

Tauro FC vs. Cacique Diriangén FC

Tauro FC face Cacique Diriangén FC in Group A at the Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City, Panama. The matchup will be the first between the sides in any Concacaf club tournament.

After two losses in its opening fixtures, Tauro will play its first home game of the campaign in search of the team’s first-ever win in the competition. Tauro will aim to extend its positive record against Nicaraguan opposition, having registered five wins and a draw in six previous matchups.

Diriangén will enter its fourth match in search of climbing to one of the two top spots in the group. The Nicaraguan side has four points and is currently third after recording a win, a loss, and a draw.

San Francisco FC vs. CS Herediano

San Francisco FC will meet CS Herediano in Group A at the Estadio Universitario in Penonomé, Panama. The meeting will also be the first ever between the clubs.

Debutants in the tournament, San Francisco FC will be searching for its first victory after a loss and a draw. Herediano will strive to take the lead in the group.

The Costa Rican side has six points after two wins and is currently second in the group on goal difference. Herediano will also look to extend its winning run in the Central American Cup, having won the team’s last five group stage fixtures.

CD Águila vs. Club Olimpia

CD Águila meets Club Olimpia in Group C at the Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

With one win and one draw, Águila will look to maintain its unbeaten record in the tournament and climb to the top two in Group C. The Salvadorian side will also seek consecutive wins at home after defeating Port Layola FC.

Olimpia enters the match with aspirations to take the group lead after collecting wins against Club Atlético Independiente and Port Layola FC. Winners in its previous four fixtures, the Honduran champions can build on a positive record in the Central American Cup.

The meeting will be the first between the teams in the Central American Cup and the sixth overall across all competitions. Olimpia has won three times, Águila once, with one encounter ending in a draw.
