ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – LD Alajuelense won 1-nil against Antigua GFC in the second leg of their series in the semifinals of the 2024 Concacaf Central American Cup on Wednesday at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Anderson Cardoso struck the woodwork in the 36’ as the hosts sought to break the deadlock after a nil-nil first leg.
Rashir Parkins scored the lone goal of the encounter in the 45’+4, capitalizing on a corner kick delivery from Creichel Pérez to earn the series-winning goal.

Alajuelense goalkeeper Leonel Moreira registered three saves and collected a second clean sheet in his campaign.
Antigua goalkeeper Luis Morán concluded the game with five saves to keep the visitors in contention until the final whistle.
LD Alajuelense won the series 1-nil on aggregate to become the first finalist in the 2024 Concacaf Central American Cup. The champion of the 2023 edition continues its title defense and is one step away from lifting the trophy for a consecutive season.
