COUVA, Trinidad & Tobago – Two clubs will earn berths to the 2015/16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League (SCCL) on Friday, when the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Championship semifinals are contested at Ato Boldon Stadium.
In a process that started last month with 14 clubs, only four remain as Haiti’s Don Bosco FC takes on Central FC of Trinidad & Tobago in the opener, followed a meeting between Jamaica’s Montego Bay United and Trinidadian side DirecTV W Connection.
With their SCCL tickets in hand, the semifinal winners will meet in Sunday’s final, while the losers will square off the same day in the third place match with the region’s last spot in the continental competition at stake.
Of the four remaining squads, only DirecTV W Connection has played previously in the SCCL, making appearances in 2009/10, 2012/13 and 2013/14 editions.
