MIAMI – The 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals featured young stars providing game defining moments. That was the case for CF Pachuca forward Emilio Rodríguez.
The recently turned 21-year-old is the 2024 Champions Cup On The Rise player for the semifinals for his performances in the series against Liga MX powerhouse Club America.
Rodriguez stood out in the second leg with the opening goal in the 12’, displaying tenacity on a loose ball inside the box from a Salomon Rondon shot that rebounded off the defense, helping Pachuca take the lead on aggregate.

His play on the right wing helped create Pachuca’s second goal of the match in the 14’, scored by Nelson Deossa, to put the Tuzos in a comfortable lead at home.
In his first year as a professional, the Pachuca youth product has gained important senior minutes and provided a Best XI performance in the semifinals.
