MIAMI – The 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup left new chapters and more memorable moments in the history of the competition as CF Pachuca lifted its sixth trophy.

In the final, the Tuzos defeated Columbus Crew, 3-nil, and closed their 2024 campaign with an undefeated record of 5W-0L-2D.

Here are some statistics and milestones that stood out following the last final:

6,300 goals

Salomon Rondon etched his name in the history books with his opening goal in the championship game, scoring the 6,300th goal in the tournament's history, which dates to 1962.

2,500th goal 

With his first goal in the final, Salomon Rondon scored the 2500th goal since the tournament’s format change in 2008-2009.

100th goal

Emilio Rodríguez scored CF Pachuca's 100th goal in the tournament since the 2008-2009 format change.

Undefeated Tuzos

Pachuca won the title while at the same time extending their impressive home unbeaten streak in the tournament to 28 wins and three draws in 31 matches.

The club is also six for six when reaching the final. They won the tournament in 2002, 2007, 2008, 2009–10, 2016–17, and 2024.

A Brace in the Final

Salomon Rondon’s double in the final was the seventh by a South American footballer in the tournament's history:

King Salomon

Pachuca striker Salomon Rondon finished as the 2024 edition’s top scorer with nine goals. He also led other attacking categories, including goal contributions (10), shots (24), shots on target (11), and goals from open play (8).

Venezuelan Gladiator

Salomon Rondon became the first Venezuelan to score a double in the final and the second to finish the tournament as top scorer.

The other Venezuelan Golden Boot winner was fellow Pachuca man Juan Arango in 2002, who finished as the co-top scorer with four goals alongside Brazilian Alex Fernandez of Monarcas Morelia.

Uruguayan masterminds

Pachuca coach Guillermo Almada became the seventh Uruguayan-born coach to win the Concacaf Champions Cup and the second to achieve it with CF Pachuca after Diego Alonso led the Tuzos during the 2016-17 edition.

New Referee Record

Ivan Barton of El Salvador became the first referee to officiate in three Concacaf Champions Cup finals. He was the referee for the first leg of the 2022 final, the second leg of the 2023 final, and the 2024 final.

The previous record holder was Mexican Benito Archundia, with two finals officiated.
