QUERETARO, Mexico – Queretaro announced Thursday the acquisition of forward Carlos Fierro on a one-year loan -- with an option for a permanent transfer -- from fellow Liga MX club Guadalajara.

The 21-year-old has been with Chivas since 2011, making 115 league appearances and scoring seven goals. In 2012, he netted in a 4-0 win over DirecTV W Connection in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.

He won the 2015 Copa MX Apertura (3 games, 1 goal) and also played in the 2012 Copa Libertadores.

Fierro scored four goals in seven games during Mexico’s run to the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup title.

The Gallos Blancos have reached the 2015/16 SCCL quarterfinals, where they will host D.C. United on February 23, before visiting the Major League Soccer side on March 1.
