MEXICO CITY – Hugo Gonzalez was named winner of the 2015/16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League’s Golden Glove award after helping Club America to its second straight title, prevailing over Tigres 4-1 on aggregate after a 2-1 second-leg win on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old appeared in seven of the Aguilas’ 10 games, including both legs of the final, allowing six goals.
He is the third Mexican to take home the prize, after the Impact de Montreal’s Evan Bush became the first American to capture any SCCL end-of-season honor last year
