MIAMI — The 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup Quarterfinals delivered plenty of offense. Nineteen players scored a combined 30 goals, with Mexican men’s national team star Henry Martin being a game-changer for Club America.
The 31-year-old striker, playing in his fourth Concacaf Champions Cup, was impactful in 133 minutes in America’s quarterfinals participation.
Club America defeated the New England Revolution 9-2 on aggregate, with Martin directly involved in three goals. Martin scored the opening goal in the series to place Las Aguilas up in the 16’ of the first leg before supplying the assist for Alejandro Zendejas nine minutes later.
The Club America captain kept the offense rolling with the third goal in the second leg, coming right before the halftime whistle. This goal tied Salvador Cabañas as the eighth all-time scorer in club history.

Martin also climbed the America goal charts in CCC play by tying Hugo Sanchez for fourth place in the first leg and Carlos Hermosillo for third place in the return match. With his recent goal, he also surpassed Oribe Peralta as the club’s top scorer in the quarterfinals stage.
