MIAMI – The opening matchday of the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship will wrap up on Tuesday with Group B action at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau, Bahamas.
The Bahamas, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States begin their respective campaigns with the intention of finishing top two in the group.
The two best teams in each group will progress to the semifinals. The two finalists in the tournament will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
United States vs. Trinidad and Tobago
The United States seeks to begin its road to an eighth participation in a FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup against Trinidad and Tobago, which seeks its first.
The two sides meet in the group stage for a consecutive edition. In the 2023 edition, the United States won 6-2 against Trinidad and Tobago. Both advanced to the knockout stage as first and third in Group C, respectively.
Nico Perea, Ricardo Carvalho, Gabe Silveira, and Chris Albiston scored for the U.S. in that previous encounter and return for the 2025 edition.
Panama vs. Bahamas
Panama meets hosts The Bahamas as both seek to begin their respective quests to earn a second FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup participation.
The two nations meet in a rematch of the 2023 quarterfinals. The Bahamas won 4-2 to advance to the quarterfinals. Kyle Williams, who scored a brace for the Bahamas, returns, as does goalkeeper Michael Butler, who also scored in the previous meeting. Nagdiel Del Rosario and Luis Quintero, the scorers for Panama, will also be back for the repeat encounter.
