NASSAU, The Bahamas – Panama and The Bahamas earned victories in Group B as the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship continued on Wednesday at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau, The Bahamas.

Panama took sole proprietorship of first place in the group on the second matchday. The Bahamas came back against the United States and jumped to second in Group B.

The two best teams in each group will progress to the semifinals. The two finalists in the tournament will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Trinidad and Tobago 3, Panama 5

Panama made a late surge to collect a 5-3 win against Trinidad and Tobago.

Eliecer García opened the scoring at 9’ in the first period. Jay-Son Joseph equalized for Trinidad and Tobago one minute later, and Alfonso Maquensi regained the lead for Panama one minute after that for a thrilling three minutes of scoring. Kevon Woodley equalized again on behalf of the Soca Warriors two minutes before the end of the opening period before Maquensi collected his brace at the 1’.

Woodley earned his brace to score the lone goal of the second period at the 1’. 

Maquensi struck at 6’ in the third period to complete his hat-trick. Eliecer García earned his brace in the 2’ to seal the victory for Los Canaleros.

The Bahamas 3, United States 2

The Bahamas came back from an early deficit to earn a 3-2 victory over the United States.

Cody Valcarcel placed the U.S. in front in the 7’ `1P. Brandon Adderley equalized for the hosts in the 4’ 2P.

Wood Julmis placed the Bahamas in front in the 11’ 3P before Timothy Munnings added a third in the 4’ 3P. 

Valcarcel collected his brace in the 3’ 3P to cut the deficit, but the U.S. could not complete the comeback.
