MIAMI — The Bahamas and the United States face off in the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship third place match on Sunday at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau, The Bahamas.

The U.S. fell 7-6 on penalties to El Salvador after tying 1-1 in regulation in the first semifinal on Saturday. Antonio Chavez scored the lone U.S. goal to equalize in the 12’ 3P.

The Bahamas fell 3-2 against Guatemala in the second semifinal. Wood Julmis and Brandon Adderley struck in the second period to equalize for the hosts heading into the final stretch.

The two nations faced off on Wednesday in the second matchday of Group B. The Bahamas won 3-2 against the U.S. to seal its eventual first-place finish in the group. Cody Valcarcel scored twice for the Stars and Stripes, but the hosts prevailed with goals from Adderley, Julmis, and Timothy Munnings.

The United States last finished third in the 2008 and 2010 editions and fourth in the 2009 and 2015 editions. The Bahamas finished fourth once in the 2023 edition, its best-ever finish in the tournament.
