MIAMI, Florida – This Friday the Draw for the 2023 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship took place at Concacaf HQ in Miami, Florida in which the 12 participating Concacaf member associations learned their group stage fate.
The 2023 CBSC will take place May 8-14 in Nassau, Bahamas and will involve the following countries: Bahamas, Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the United States.
The groups are as follows:
Group A: El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Turks and Caicos Islands
Group B: Mexico, Bahamas, Guatemala, Belize
Group C: United States, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic
Following the group stage, the first and second place finishers in each group, plus the two best third place finishers (eight team in total) will advance to the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals, third-place match and the Final.
The two finalists will qualify for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2023.
In the previous edition of the CBSC played in Costa Rica in 2021, El Salvador won their second crown (first since 2009) with a 6-4 victory over the United States in the Final.
