Three Concacaf referees selected for Beach Soccer World Cup

MIAMI, Florida – Three referees from the Concacaf region have been selected to officiate at the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which takes place February 15-25 in the United Arab Emirates.

Gumercindo Batista of Panama, Juan Angeles of the Dominican Republic and Gonzalo Carballo of El Salvador are the three referees who will represent Concacaf in the tournament.

Batista will officiate in his fourth Beach Soccer World Cup, having previously been on the whistle in the 2013, 2019 and 2021 editions. Batista was the referee in the Third-Place Match in 2021.

Angeles will be refereeing in his fifth consecutive Beach Soccer World Cup and fifth overall. Angeles officiated previously in the 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021 editions. He was also the referee for the Third-Place Match in the 2019 tournament.

Carballo will be on the whistle in a Beach Soccer World Cup for a fourth straight time and fourth overall after officiating in the 2017, 2019 and 2021 editions.
