Haiti’s Cavaly AS keeps rolling at the FCCCC

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – Cavaly AS of Haiti kept rolling with their second straight win on Tuesday at the 2021 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Cavaly now sit on six points in Group D thanks to their 5-0 triumph over Olympique de Cayenne of French Guiana.

Dorvil Gamael bagged a brace with goals in the 40’ and 62’, while the other scores came from Elistin Eddyson in the 26’, Dorley Jean in the 53’ and Joseph Fenelson in the 87’.

The day started in Group C with AS Samaritaine of Martinique catapulting to the top of the group with a 3-1 win over Gosier of Guadeloupe.

Hilaire Orilus gave Gosier a 1-0 lead in the 18’, but it was all Samaritaine after that, beginning with Patrick Percin’s second goal of the tournament with the 1-1 equalizer in the 25’, followed by goals from Jordan Lise in the 43’ and Dylan Florent in the 90+4’ to cap the 3-1 scoreline.

The day ended with Curacao’s Scherpenheuvel downing Hope International of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 3-1 in Group D.

Nicolas Rocha opened the scoring 1-0 for Scherpenheuvel in the 34’, followed by Maximiliano Ciarnello doubling the margin to 2-0 in the 61’. Joseph Douglas pulled a goal back for Hope International in the 70’, but Benjamin Gil’s score in the 86’ sealed the 3-1 victory for the Curacao club.
