Miami, FL – Concacaf has confirmed the schedule for the 2022 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship (FCCCC). The tournament will take place in Santiago, Dominican Republic, from May 13-25, 2022.
The competition will kick off with group stage round-robin play between May 13- 17, followed by the semifinals between the first and second place finishers from each group on May 19.
The 3rd Place match and Final are set for May 22.
The Champion of the 2022 FCCCC will qualify directly for the 2023 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League (SCCL), while the second and third place finishers will qualify for the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf League (SCL).
Provided the 2022 Caribbean Club Shield winners fulfills the Concacaf Regional Club Licensing criteria required to participate in the SCL, a play-in match will be disputed on May 25, between the fourth-place finisher of the 2022 FCCCC and the 2022 CCCS Champion. The winner of this match will claim the last spot for Caribbean clubs in the 2022 SCL.
The official FCCCC draw took place on February 3, with the groups as follows:
Group A: Cibao FC (DOM), Violette Athletic Club (HAI), Cavalier SC (JAM)
Group B: Atlético Vega Real (DOM), Arcahaie FC (HAI), Waterhouse FC (JAM).
Cibao FC is the lone former champion in the tournament, having lifted the trophy in the 2017 edition, while Waterhouse finished as runners-up in the 2019 and 2020 tournaments.
