MIAMI, Florida – The 2023 Concacaf Caribbean Club Shield in Saint Kitts and Nevis continued on Friday with another four games taking place.
Group D swung into action at Warner Park where Dakota of Aruba topped Turks and Caicos Islands side SWA Sharks FC 2-0.
The opening goal came in the 40’ through Cristian Pena for a 1-0 halftime lead for Dakota. The Aruba side then doubled the margin 2-0 in the 55’ through Richard De Sousa and held on until the final whistle to pocket the three points.
Also at Warner Park in Group D there was a commanding 4-0 victory for Trinidad and Tobago side Club Sando against Solidarite-Scolaire of Guadeloupe.
All four goals for Club Sando came in the second half, beginning with Kadeem Corbin in the 51’ for a 1-0 advantage.
The match then turned into the Ezekiel Kessar show, as the MF came off the bench to score goals in the 69’ and 79’ to make it a 3-0 Club Sando lead.
The Trinidad and Tobago side then capped the 4-0 scoreline in the 87’ when Isaiah Thompson found the back of the net.
Group C got into action as well in which Etoile Matoury of French Guiana defeated B1 FC of Saint Lucia 4-0 at the SKNFA Technical Centre.
All four goals were scored in the first half, beginning two goals in the first 10 minutes from Calvin Soga in the 5’ and Jimmy Benice in the 8’. Wilfried Andrews made it 3-0 in the 36’ before Galimo Wilfried closed things out in the 44’ for the 4-0 final.
The other match at the SKNFA Technical Centre was also a Group C affair between Robinhood of Suriname and O&M FC of the Dominican Republic.
Shaquille Cairo’s goals in the 65’ and 73’ for Robinhood sandwiched Jamesley Daniel’s goal in the 71’ for O&M to earn Robinhood a 2-1 victory and the three points.
