Miami, FL – Concacaf has been informed by Montreal’s Olympic Park authorities that the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League (SCCL) match between CF Montreal (CAN) and Santos Laguna (MEX) will not be able to take place as originally scheduled. This is due to adverse weather projected in Montreal, Canada, in the next 24 hours. Conditions are expected to include an amount of frozen rainwater on the stadium’s roof which is greater than is safe for fan attendance, per the venue’s management protocol.
Following this decision by the local authority, Concacaf has rescheduled the match for Wednesday, February 23. The match at the Olympic Stadium will kick off at 8:15 pm ET time.
