ALAJUELA – Thanks to his excellent performances throughout the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf League, Olimpia MF Michaell Chirinos has earned the Best Player Award presented by Scotiabank as the tournament’s most valuable player.
The 27-year-old featured in eight matches for the Honduran club during the tournament, starting five and scoring three goals.

Chirinos saved his best for last, delivering a wondrous performance in the Final with a goal and two assists over the two legs in Olimpia’s 5-4 aggregate victory.
Chirinos is also the first player to collect the SCL Best Player Award twice after having previously earned that distinction during Olimpia’s first SCL title-winning campaign in 2017.
