Tauro FC begin new adventure in SCL

PANAMA CITY, Panama – A new adventure begins for Tauro FC in CONCACAF, as the Panamanian club will play in its first ever Scotiabank CONCACAF League.

As runners-up in the 2018 Clausura and possessing the second-best aggregate record among non-champions during the 2017/18 season, Tauro have qualified to play in the second installment of the SCL.

It has already been a memorable year for the Panama City-based club.

As the lone Panamanian representative in the 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, Tauro eliminated FC Dallas in the Round of 16 on the strength of two away goals in a 3-3 draw on aggregate.

While the club’s run in the 2018 SCCL did end in the quarterfinal round to Club America of Mexico 7-1 on aggregate, it was a historical finish for Tauro as they advanced from a round in the SCCL for the first time in six attempts.

After showing such resolve in the 2018 SCCL, Tauro will fancy their chances of a deep run in the 2018 SCL.

Led by FW Edwin Aguilar (14 goals in 2017/18) and MF Enrico Small (9 goals in 2017/18), Tauro provide plenty of punch in attack, coupled with a tough defense that conceded just 21 goals in 18 matches during the 2018 Clausura.

With such a well-rounded squad, Tauro will provide a sturdy test for any SCL opponent.
