This week, the NWSL made history by breaking records and witnessing first-time events.
On Friday evening, Racing Louisville won against the Orlando Pride 2-0 with goals form Nadia Nadim and Savannah DeMelo, ending a 13-match league winless streak.
With goals from Rose Lavelle and Megan Rapinoe, OL Reign won for the first time in North Carolina on Saturday evening in a 2-1 final versus the North Carolina Courage. Now in fifth place, OL is slotted to play in the postseason.
On Saturday evening, history was written when 32,000 people attended the San Diego Wave vs Angel City FC match, breaking the record for the most attended match in the NWSL and in the United States since 2001. The hosts saw a victory of 1-0 with a goal from Jaedyn Shaw.

Liga MX Femenil closed week 12 with results that impact the standings.
Atletico San Luis downed Atlas 3-2. Atlas opened the scoring with the help of Karen Garcia and extended their lead thanks to Carolina Venegas, but with goals from Bea Parra, Kiana Robles and Silvana Gonzalez, Atletico won for the first time since week seven.
The rain didn’t stop Chivas from winning over Tigres on Monday evening. Adriana Iturbide was the only goalscorer of the night, reinforcing the first-place position for Guadalajara
Juarez FC is still fighting for a spot in what would be their first Liguilla. Alexia Villanueva scored for Santos first, but Las Bravas ended up winning 4-1, with goals from Blanca Solis (2), Paola Gonzalez and an own goal from Natalia Miramontes.
Liga Femenina Costa Rica
The Torneo Clausura of the Liga Femenina in Costa Rica is keeping everyone on the edge of their seats early in their season.
Dimas and Pococi closed a draw 1-1 on Wednesday. Yaniela Arias scored for Dimas, now sitting in fifth place, while Sheyka Scott was the goal scorer for Pococi.
Sporting FC showed why they are at the top of the table, downing Suva Sports 5-1. Sonia Rada, Lourdes Viana, Tanisha Fonseca and Cristin Granados were the goal scorers of the night. Kerry Prieto scored an own goal, but was able to pull one back
On Saturday, Herediano won 2-1 against Dimas Escazu. Jessica Decker opened the match scoring for Dimas, but with the services of Diana Vallejos and Yerlin Rojas, Herediano won to sit in second place.
