Haiti’s Melchie Dumornay is doing that at new club Olympique Lyonnais in France, while fellow Concacaf players Lindsay Horan of the United States and Vanessa Gilles of Canada are also stepping up with the French side.
Olympique Lyonnais are keeping their winning ways going in the Division 1 Feminine, having won all four of their league games so far.
MF and star of the eight-time European champions, Horan, shined at home, scoring her first club hat-trick in a 6-0 win versus Saint-Etienne. A header and two shots outside the area made her the top scorer in their latest match while also breaking a personal record.
A key player on and off the pitch, Horan keeps showing why she is one of the most important players for the French club, controlling the game when needed, but also creating chances in every tournament.
However, Horan’s goals were not the first ones to see the back of the net, as Canadian DF Gilles started their six-goal haul in the derby against Saint-Etienne. Her header came after a great assist by the latest squad member, Haitian FW Dumornay.

Playing as she has been part of the OL squad more than just a few months, Dumornay is proving why everyone wanted to sign her even before the summer, being a game-changer not only by scoring goals but creating connections with her teammates to get the job done.
Dumornay went on to give another two assists to FW Eugenie Le Sommer, being the player with most assists in the match, adding now 270 minutes of game to her boots.
Thanks to the experience she is having early on in the league, she and the rest of the OL squad will be ready to face the most important challenges later on in the season. Their next quest will be a pitch that Dumornay knows well, as they’ll face Reims, her former club, for their fifth week encounter in the Division 1 Feminine.
