MIAMI. - Jamaica women’s national team captain Khadija Shaw added another milestone to her professional career, becoming the first Concacaf player to win the PFA Women’s Player of The Year award on Tuesday at the Manchester Opera House in Manchester, England.
This honor comes after a stellar performance by the Manchester City forward, who won the Golden Boot during the 2023/24 Women's Super League season with 21 goals in 18 appearances. The Citizens finished as runners-up with Shaw unavailable due to injury in the final stretch of the campaign.
Her performances were noted by fans, players, and coaches all over England and worldwide. Shaw wrote her name in Manchester City history, becoming the club’s all-time scorer in all competitions.

Shaw’s name was also featured in the PFA Team of the Year, and she was the only player from the Concacaf region to make the list. The Reggae Girlz star is still eligible for more hardware with her nomination in the 2023/24 Concacaf Awards for Women's Player of the Year, an honor she won in 2022.
After an injury at the end of last season, ‘Bunny’ is working hard to get back to the pitch and continue showing why she is one of the best strikers in England, Concacaf, and the world.
