MIAMI — Khadija Shaw, one of the best women’s footballers in Concacaf, continues to receive global recognition as a nominee for the 2023/24 Women's PFA Players' Player of the Year award.
Captain of the Jamaica women’s national team and an impact player for Manchester City, Shaw helped the English club its best-ever Women’s Super League points tally as part of a second-place finish in the 2023/24 season.
‘Bunny’ Shaw contributed 21 goals in 18 appearances to win the Golden Boot as Man City came close to the WSL title, which was decided on the final matchday without the Reggae Girlz forward, who had been sidelined by injury.
During her third season in the United Kingdom, Shaw became Manchester City's all-time goal scorer by surpassing Georgia Stanway’s 67 goals in all competitions.

With her game-changing skills, leadership, and goal-scoring abilities, Shaw added another title to her performance last year: Player of the Season.
Her talent is recognized around the world by everyone, not only by what she does for her club but also her country. Shaw is one of the nominees for the 2023/24 Concacaf Awards for Player of the Year, an honor she currently holds, having won it in 2022.
With football almost back in action in England, Shaw will again be a fundamental piece for Manchester City. The club faces one of the most challenging seasons yet, trying to return to the top of the WSL with many more trophies and titles up for grabs.
The 2023/24 Women's PFA Players' Player of the Year award winner will be revealed at the PFA Awards on August 20 at the Manchester Opera House. Shaw would become the first player from Concacaf, and the third player outside of Europe, to receive the award.
