LOS ANGELES, California – Guadeloupe DF Anthony Baron has been named the winner of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup Goal of the Tournament.
Baron’s fantastic goal came in the 50th minute of Guadeloupe’s 4-0 victory over Cuba in their second match of Group D at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas.
With Guadeloupe in control and holding a 3-0 lead, an attempted clearance from the Cuban defense fell right to Baron, who pounced on the ball, slalomed past two Cuban defenders and did a full pirouette past a third defender before tucking away a left-footed shot for a goal that will not soon be forgotten.
