POSITION PURPOSE:
The Central America Administrative Associate is responsible for supporting the administrative, financial, and operational processes for the Guatemala office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and reviews the annual budget for the Guatemala office. Monitors budget-to-actual monthly performance and provides actionable feedback on material variances.
- Prepares and maintains reports for tax accountants. Participate in quarterly calls with the Accounting Manager and Tax Consultants. Assist with the annual tax return preparation for the Guatemala office.
- Oversees vendor relationships and maintains contracts and purchase orders for the Guatemala office.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor payments.
- Maintains and reconciles the petty cash account for the Guatemala Office.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the bank in Guatemala and the Treasury Manager in Miami.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the external accountants in Guatemala and the Accounting Manager in Miami.
- Provides documentation and information on annual external audits, grant audits, and other stakeholder requirements.
- Conducts periodic off-site inventory counts and prepares monthly inventory adjusting entries.
- Administration of inventory and office supplies for the Guatemala office.
- Serves as a point of contact for administrative-related matters.
- Assists with special projects and performs various administrative and operational tasks as needed.
- Support Concacaf event operations by attending certain workshops, draws, tournaments, or special events locally or abroad.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or administrative roles.
- Experience in auditing and taxes for organizations is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required, and experience with accounting software is preferred (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics Great Plains).
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French or Spanish)
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is critical and professionalism in dealing with others both inside and outside of the confederation is a must.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Acute attention to detail and commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Critical thinking and “hands-on” analytical skills.
- Must be a process-driven thinker and goal-oriented

- Candidate must have the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally for the performance of his/her duties. Approximate travel requirement: 5%
Due to the cyclical nature of the sports and entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules including game nights to reflect the business needs of the company.
