MIAMI – An exciting 2025 awaits in Concacaf with several tournaments highlighting the upcoming year, from the Concacaf Champions Cup and Beach Soccer Championship to another edition of the CNL Finals and Gold Cup.
This year will also include the first edition of the W Champions Cup Finals and the start of annual qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 World Cup and FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
Here is a look at all the competitions ahead for the 2025 campaign:
Gold Cup
The 18th edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup will be played between June 14 and July 6, featuring 16 men’s national teams.
Eight teams have booked their spots in the tournament through their placement in the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League. Guests Saudi Arabia add the number of qualified teams to nine, leaving seven spots to be filled in the Gold Cup Prelims.
The Prelims will be played in March and consist of seven home-and-away matchups. The seven group winners will advance to the Gold Cup group stage, completing the field of 16 teams.
CNL Finals
Canada, Mexico, Panama, and the United States will compete to be crowned the champion of the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League in the 2025 CNL Finals at Hollywood Park and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA, from March 20 to 23.
The festivities will begin with the Semifinals on Thursday, March 20, with Canada (1) vs Mexico (4) and USA (2) vs Panama (3). The Third-Place Match and Final will be played on Sunday, March 23.
Champions Cup
The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup kicks off on February 4 as the road begins to the Final in June.
A group of 27 qualified clubs will battle it out to become the next winner of Concacaf’s premier men’s club competition. Each round will be played in a two-leg format except for the Final, scheduled for June 1, which will be in a single-elimination match.
Round One will be played from February 4 to the 27. Five champions will enter in the Round of 16, which will be contested from March 4 to 13. The Quarterfinals will follow from April 1 to 10 and the Semifinals will be disputed between April 22 and May 1. The two finalists will meet for the trophy on Sunday, June 1.
W Champions Cup
The inaugural W Champions Cup Finals will be contested from May 21 to 24 with the four semifinalists from the 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup edition.
Club America Femenil (MEX), NJ/NY Gotham FC (USA), Portland Thorns FC (USA), and Tigres Femenil (MEX) will compete at the Estadio Universitario in Nuevo Leon, Mexico in the Semifinals, Third Place Match, and Final to determine the tournament’s first ever champion.
The second edition of the Concacaf W Champions Cup will get underway with the next round of clubs vying for the women’s soccer club crown in the region in the second half of the year.
U-17 Women’s Qualifiers
The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers will be played under a new two-round format, beginning on January 27 and concluding on April 6.
Round One will be contested between 22 teams across four venues from January 27 to February 1. The six group winners and the two best second-place Round One finishers will join the top-ranked teams - USA, Mexico, Canada, and Haiti - to play the Final Round.
The Final Round will be played in a group format from March 31 to April 6, with the three group winners and the best second-place finisher moving on to the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in October.
U-17 Men’s Qualifiers
The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers will take place from February 7 to 16 to determine the eight participants from the region at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in November.
The new format consists of a single-round qualification between 35 Concacaf Member Associations across six venues in which the participating nations are split into eight groups. After round-robin play, where each team each other once, the eight group winners qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Women’s U-20 Qualifiers and Championship
The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Qualifiers will take place from February 20 to 25 to determine teams that will advance to the 2025 Concacaf U-20 Women’s Championship
The Qualifiers will see 24 nations play across four venues in Central America and the Caribbean in round-robin play, with the first-place team from each group (six teams) advancing to the 2025 Concacaf U-20 Women’s Championship, joining the two pre-seeded top-ranked nations, the United States and Mexico.
The Championship Stage will be played in May. After round-robin play, the group winners and runners-up will advance to the Semifinals and qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
Beach Soccer Championship
The 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship will take place from March 11 to 16 at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau, Bahamas and will determine the region’s participants for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025 in May.
The competition will begin with round-robin play, after which the two best teams in each group will progress to the Knockout Stage. The two finalists will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Caribbean Cup
The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup will be contested in the second half of the year to determine the next champion of Caribbean club soccer. Cavalier FC won the 2024 edition, and SV Robinhood won in 2023.
Central American Cup
The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup will be contested in the second half of the year to determine the next club champion of Central America. LD Alajuelense are the reigning champions and will seek to win the trophy for a third consecutive year.
World Cup 2026 qualification
The Road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by Concacaf nations Canada, USA, and Mexico, continues with the non-host countries continuing their qualification path. Qualification kicked off last summer and will continue during the June, September, October, and December FIFA international match windows.
