MIAMI The 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship, which serves as the region’s qualification for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, highlights This Week in Concacaf.

The second-leg bouts in the Round of 16 of the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup also take place this week. The field of competing clubs will be reduced to eight in the search for this year’s winners.

Here’s what is on tap for the coming week:

2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship

The 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship kicks off on Tuesday, with eight teams starting their quest to be one of the region’s two participants at the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Group A consists of Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. Group B will be disputed between the United States, Panama, the Bahamas, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The group stage will be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semifinals on Saturday. The Final and Third Place matches will take place on Sunday.

The two finalists will represent Concacaf at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025 in May.

2025 Concacaf Champions Cup

The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup continues its 60th edition of the region’s premier club tournament with the closing encounters in the Round of 16. 

Columbus Crew will seek to overturn a 0-3 deficit against LAFC to begin Tuesday’s matches. Cruz Azul will host Seattle Sounders FC after both sides played to a scoreless draw in the first leg. Tigres UANL will host FC Cincinnati, seeking to defend its away goal from a 1-1 result in the opening leg.

Wednesday will see another three matches, starting with CF Monterrey hosting Vancouver Whitecaps FC to follow up on a 1-1 draw. Club América hosts CD Guadalajara, with the latter holding a 1-0 lead, in another edition of the Clásico de México. LA Galaxy will seek to overturn a 0-1 deficit when it hosts CS Herediano to end the night.

On Thursday, Cavalier FC will host Inter Miami CF in Kingston, with the U.S. side holding a 2-0 advantage. LD Alajuelense will seek to overturn a two-goal deficit of its own when it hosts Pumas UNAM to determine the final quarterfinalist.
