MIAMI — The Central American Cup, Concacaf Caribbean Cup and FIFA Futsal World Cup continue as part of the action involving Concacaf clubs and countries this week.
Here’s what is on tap in the region this week:
Concacaf Central American Cup
The knockout stage in the Concacaf Central American Cup begins with the first leg of the quarterfinals. Eight of the best teams from Central America continue their journey to be crowned this year’s champions and determine six berths to the next edition of the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Antigua GFC and Deportivo Saprissa start things off on Tuesday. Real Estelí will host CD Águila, and CS Herediano will visit FC Motagua as part of a Wednesday doubleheader. Reigning champions LD Alajuelense will play at Comunicaciones FC on Thursday to end the first encounters as teams look to start the final phase with an advantage.

Concacaf Caribbean Cup
The 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continues Tuesday with the penultimate week of the group stage. Ouanaminthe and Grenades face off, followed by AC Port of Spain against Cibao FC.
Real Hope FA meets Arnett Gardens in Wednesday’s bout. Miscellaneous Police FC hosts Mount Pleasant FA on Thursday as the road to the semifinals gets clearer.
The Caribbean Cup will determine three spots in the 2025 CCC when its semifinalists and third-place winner are defined later this year.

FIFA Futsal World Cup
Costa Rica is the lone Concacaf nation remaining in the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup as the tournament continues this week in Uzbekistan.
Los Ticos advanced to the Round of 16 and will face Brazil on Tuesday. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face either Iran or Morocco on Sunday.
