Concacaf provides support in charity match for Trinidad and Tobago flood victims

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago – Concacaf is supporting the “Football for a Cause” initiative to help the flood victims in Trinidad and Tobago.
 
This Friday, ex-Trinidad and Tobago National Team players and sportsmen from all around the country will be participating in the “Football for a Cause” initiative, a charity match,  led by current Trinidad and Tobago National Team Head Coach Dennis Lawrence. The Confederation provided assistance with football equipment for the match.
 
Heavy rains last Saturday and Sunday have greatly impacted the country, but with the support of Concacaf and the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, this fundraising event will be able to assist those in need.
 
Lawrence, whose goal qualified Trinidad and Tobago for its first ever FIFA World Cup for Germany 2006, is calling on all Trinidadians and Tobagonians to unite and help their fellow citizens.
 
The current National Team boss said that he empathizes with the plight of the victims, many of whom are still suffering, and hopes that the power of football will be able to improve the situation.
