SANTOS LAGUNA CLAIM SIXTH LIGA MX TITLE

Santos Laguna are champions of Liga MX for the sixth time in club history after defeating Toluca 3-2 on aggregate in the 2018 Clausura final. Following a 2-1 win in the first leg in Torreon, the Laguneros gutted out a 1-1 draw in the second leg in Toluca. Both clubs have qualified for the 2019 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.

SAPRISSA EDGE HEREDIANO IN FINAL

Deportivo Saprissa topped Herediano in penalty kicks 4-3 to claim the 2018 Costa Rican Clausura following a 1-1 tie on aggregate. For the Monstruo Morado it is their 34th domestic title and qualifies the club for the 2019 SCCL.

ALIANZA CLAIM SECOND STRAIGHT SALVADORAN CROWN

Marvin Monterrosa was the hero as his 40' minute goal powered Alianza to a 1-0 win over Santa Tecla in the 2018 Clausura final in El Salvador, earning Los Albos their 13th Salvadoran title and a berth in the 2019 SCCL.

MARATHON PUSH PAST MOTAGUA IN PENALTIES

Marathon proved perfect from the penalty spot, defeating Motagua 5-4 in penalty kicks following a 1-1 draw on aggregate in the 2018 Honduran Clausura final. A 0-0 draw in the second leg forced the two clubs to decide matters in penalties, where Marathon shined to win their ninth Honduran crown and stamp their ticket to the 2019 SCCL.

INDEPENDIENTE WONS THE PANAMANIAN TITLE

A penalty kick in the 39 minutes from  Omar Browne was all Independiente needed to down Tauro FC, the 2018 SCCL quarterfinalists 1-0 in the 2018 Panamanian Clausura final. It is Independiente's first ever domestic title and qualifies them for the SCCL for the first time.

UWI BLACKBIRDS HAMMER COMPTON WITH HARTE HAT TRICK 

Mario Harte was the man of the hour in the Barbados Premier League action as his hat-trick helped UWI Blackbirds defeat Compton 5-0. Other winners on the weekend were Weymouth Wales, 6-1 vs. Silver Sands and Paradise, who downed Brittons Hill 3-0.
