ORANJESTAD, Aruba – The third day of the 2024 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship took place on Wednesday, with League C encounters at the Guillermo P. Trinidad Stadium in Oranjestad, Aruba.
Guyana 3, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
After a draw on matchday two, the Guyana squad bounced back with a 3-nil win against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Sydney Glean provided two goals, in the 39’ and 43’, to give her team the advantage. Sabana Simon saw the back of the net in the last minutes of the game, in the 70 '+1, scoring the last goal of the evening.
Aruba All-Stars 0, French Guiana 2
The second winner of matchday three was French Guiana, who managed to earn a 2-nil win over local club Aruba All Stars. Alexiana Sida was the author of the first goal in the 9’, giving her team the early advantage. Sida made her presence felt again in the 70'+3, earning a brace before the final whistle.
Leagues A and B resume on matchday four
The remaining Leagues will be back in action for their final group stage games on Thursday. Costa Rica will look to get their second win when they face Jamaica, aiming to be able to continue playing on home soil in League A.
In League B, Cuba and Honduras, both coming from back-to-back wins, will play for their third victory before advancing to the next stage.
League C will also continue in action, with Bonaire and Saint Lucia playing to determine which squad will have a successful final matchday in the group stage.
