• Twenty-two U-17 women’s national teams to compete in the competition’s first round 
  • Tournament will take place from January 27 and February across four venues

 

Miami, FL – The twenty-two Concacaf Member Associations that will participate in Round One of the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers have submitted their 21-player rosters ahead of the start of the tournament on January 27. 

The first edition of the competition under the new format will take place between January 27 and February 1, 2025, across four venues: Puerto Rico will host Group A, Trinidad and Tobago Group B, Nicaragua Group D and E, and Dominican Republic Group C and F.

Following round-robin play, the six group winners and the two best second-place finishers will advance to the Final Round. 

The six groups for Round One are as follows: 

Group A: Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines  

Group B: Trinidad and Tobago, Honduras, Belize, and US Virgin Islands  

Group C: Panama, Cuba, Guyana, and Turks and Caicos Islands  

Group D: El Salvador, Guatemala, Curaçao, and Anguilla  

Group E: Jamaica, Nicaragua, and Saint Kitts and Nevis  

Group F: Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and Grenada  

The rosters have been selected and submitted by each Member Associations and are published as such. To be eligible to participate in the competition, all players are subject to and must fully comply with the criteria stipulated in the applicable FIFA player eligibility regulations. 

Changes to the final rosters will be allowed in the event of serious injury or approved medical reasons up to 24 hours before each team´s first match. All changes must be approved by Concacaf, and the replacement player must also come from each team’s provisional lists.  

 

New Competition Format 

The new Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers consist of two rounds, with the four highest-ranked participating Concacaf Member Associations (based on the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Rankings) receiving a bye to the Final Round. 

For Round One, the participating Member Associations ranked fifth and below have been split into six groups (draw results are available here). After round-robin play, the six group winners and the two best second-place finishers (eight teams in total) will advance to the Final Round, joining the four top-ranked teams – United States, Mexico, Canada, and Haiti. 

The Final Round will also be played in a group format, consisting of three groups of four teams each. After round-robin play, the three group winners and the best second-place finisher (four teams in total) will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. 

More details on the competition’s Final Round will be confirmed at a later date.
