Groups A, B, C & D kick off the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Qualifiers

MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers Round One kicks off with the opening matches in Groups A, B, C, and D on Monday.

The ball will start rolling in Puerto Rico, which will host Group A, Trinidad and Tobago, which will house Group B, Nicaragua, which has Groups D and E, and the Dominican Republic, hosting Groups C and F.

Group A

Bermuda vs. Cayman Islands

A first-time encounter will begin the proceedings in Group A, as Bermuda and the Cayman Islands meet at Estadio José Antonio Figueroa Freyre in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.

Bermuda has been part of the qualifying stage seven times, participating in the group stage in 2018 and 2022. The Cayman Islands will be starting its sixth qualification campaign, with the program’s best result coming in 2010 as part of the group stage.

Puerto Rico vs. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Puerto Rico hosts Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at Estadio José Antonio Figueroa Freyre in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, for another first encounter in Group A.

Las Boricuas are going into their seventh participation in the competition. Their best performance was in 2022 when they finished in fourth place.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is writing its first chapter as part of this competition. The program is taking part in its third participation in the qualifying stage.

Group B

Honduras vs. Belize

Honduras and Belize will kick things off in Group B at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago. The teams meet for the second time in this category, the first being in 2016 at the Grenada Qualifiers. 

Las Catrachas earned a 9-1 result in the 2016 encounter. The nation has completed five appearances in the first stage of the tournament, and one in the Final Round.

Belize has yet to win a match in the qualifiers, a stage they have been part of four times.

Trinidad and Tobago vs. U.S. Virgin Islands

Trinidad and Tobago hosts the U.S. Virgin Islands in Group B at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.

The Soca Warriors will begin their seventh appearance in the qualifying stage. Trinidad and Tobago advanced to the Final Round in 2008, 2012, 2013, and 2022.

Group C 

Cuba vs. Guyana 

Cuba and Guyana will meet for the second time in the U-17 Qualifiers to kick off Group C at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Cuba won their first encounter, getting an 8-nil win over Guyana, at the Qualifiers for Nicaragua/United States in 2018. Both teams are no strangers to playing in the Dominican Republic, as it was the stage where they sealed their first and only Final Round participation in 2022.

Panama vs. Turks and Caicos Islands

Panama meets Turks and Caicos Islands in Group C at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The meeting will mark a first encounter between the nations in the U-17 category.

The Canaleras have four qualifying appearances in 2010, 2012, 2022, and 2024, reaching the Final Round in each. The nation’s best finish was in the third-place match, achieving fourth place at Guatemala 2012. Panama will use the experience of its squad, having players like Alison Onodera and Analia Arosemena, who scored in the 2024 Mexico qualifiers.
Turks and Caicos are writing a new chapter in the tournament, beginning its second participation after last participating in the 2022 edition.

Group D

 El Salvador vs. Anguilla

El Salvador and Anguilla begin action in Group D at the National Stadium in Managua, Nicaragua. This will be the first time both nations share the pitch. 

La Selecta will start its eighth participation after being present in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018, and 2024. The program has advanced to four Final Rounds, with its best result coming in 2022 as quarterfinalists.

Anguilla will begin its sixth qualifying campaign. They have been part of Round One in 2008, 2012, 2020, and 2022.

Guatemala vs. Curaçao

Guatemala meets Curaçao in Group D at the National Stadium in Managua, Nicaragua. This match will also mark a first-time encounter.
Guatemala has reached the First Round four times, in 2008, 2013, 2016, and 2024, and qualified for the Final Round on three occasions. Their first appearance was when they hosted the tournament in 2012.
Curaçao has seven appearances at the U-17 qualifiers, advancing to the Final Round in 2022, the same tournament where it accomplished its best result by reaching the Round of 16.
