MIAMI. - Saint Kitts and Nevis, Guyana, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic gained their first victories in the Second Round of Concacaf Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.

Five players scored twice for their respective teams, including Guyana’s Deon Moore, Dominican Republic duo Rafael Mata and Dorny Romero, and Puerto Rico pair Jeremy de Leon and Wilfredo Rivera.

Goalkeepers Julani Archibald of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Miguel Lloyd of the Dominican Republic, and Joel Serrano of Puerto Rico provided clean sheet performances.

Saint Lucia vs. Aruba

Saint Lucia drew 2-2 with Aruba in Group C at Wildey Turf in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Walter Bennett opened the scoring in the 22’ with a header in the box to capitalize on an Aruba corner kick.

Isai Marselia extended the lead in the 43’ with a conversion from a penalty kick.

Ridel Stanislas cut the deficit for the hosts in the 45'+2 with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner.

Peter Pearson tied the match in the 66' by striking from short distance.

Both nations earned their first point of the campaign. Saint Lucia and Aruba rank third and fourth in the group behind Curaçao and Haiti, which have gained six points respectively.

Saint Kitts and Nevis vs. Bahamas

Saint Kitts and Nevis defeated the Bahamas, 1-nil, in Group B at Warner Park in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Ethan Bristow scored the lone goal of the encounter in the 12’ with a header following a blocked attempt.

The Bahamas were down to ten men in the 44’ following a second yellow card issued to Jean Tilo.

Saint Kitts and Nevis earned its first victory and its first points of the campaign. The Sugar Boyz are third in the group behind Trinidad and Tobago, with 4 points, and Costa Rica, first with six points.

Guyana vs. Belize

Guyana earned a 3-1 victory against Belize in Group D at Wildey Turf in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Deon Moore struck in front of goal in the 66’, connecting on a pass from Omari Glasgow, to break the deadlock.

Liam Gordon extended the lead for Guyana in the 67’ after dribbling past defenders to take a left-footed shot in the box.

Deon Moore completed his brace in the 71’ with a flick of the ball inside the box to redirect a pass from Nathan Moriah-Welsh.

Carlos Bernardez scored for Belize in the 88’ with a header in the box to connect with a cross from Jahryl Smith.

The Golden Jaguars obtained their first victory of the second round and sit in third place in the group. Nicaragua and Panama lead the group with six points each.

Guyana vs. Belize

The Dominican Republic won 4-nil against the British Virgin Islands in Group E at the Estadio Panamericano in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic.

Rafael Mata placed the hosts in the lead in the 2’ with a curve ball from outside the box.

Dorny Romero converted on a penalty kick opportunity in the 14’ to double the lead for the hosts.

Mata struck again from distance in the 31’ to give the hosts a three-goal lead.

Romero converted his own double in the 90'+3' to put the exclamation point on the home victory.

The Dominican Republic improved to three points and maintained third place in the group. Guatemala and Jamaica are first and second in the group with six points each.

Puerto Rico vs. Anguilla

Puerto Rico won 8-nil against Anguilla in Group F at the Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Jeremy de Leon struck from the penalty spot in the 21’ for the opening goal.

Roberto Ydrach doubled the lead from short distance in the 31'.

Goalkeeper Joel Serrano provided a penalty save in the 36’ on his way to his second consecutive clean sheet.

Wilfredo Rivera made it three for the hosts in the 48' with a blast outside the edge of the penalty arc.

Jeremy de Leon earned his brace in the 51’ with some nifty footwork in the box to gain space and hit the ball into the top netting. 

Leandro Antonetti penned his name on the scoresheet in the 58’, adding the finishing touch to a through ball from Ricardo Rivera.

Wilfredo Rivera extended the lead to six in the 65' by pouncing on a loose ball in the box.

Darren Rios added a seventh for the hosts in the 71' with a header in front of goal. 

Nicolas Cardona scored in the 90’ to head in a ball off the crossbar after a free kick attempt from Wilfredo Rivera.

Puerto Rico secured its first win and improved to four points, moving up to second place. Suriname leads the group with six points.
