MIAMI, Florida – The four teams from Concacaf participating in the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania – Costa Rica, United States, Guatemala and Panama – have learned their group stage fate following the conclusion of the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup Draw on Tuesday at FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
2021 Concacaf Futsal Championship winners Costa Rica have been drawn into Group A with host nation Lithuania, Venezuela and Kazakhstan. It marks the fifth appearance for the Ticos in a Futsal World Cup.
2021 CFC runners-up United States will square off against Argentina, Serbia and Iran in Group F in what will be the sixth Futsal World Cup for the U.S. It is also the first Futsal World Cup for the U.S. since 2008.
Guatemala were drawn into Group B where they will face Uzbekistan, Egypt and the Football Union of Russia. It is the fifth Futsal World Cup for the Chapines, who have participated in the last three editions of the tournament.
Panama will make their third Futsal World Cup appearance beginning in Group D, where they will duel with the Czech Republic, Vietnam and Brazil.
The tournament will kick off on September 12, 2021 and concluding with the Final on October 3, 2021.
