SEATTLE, Washington – The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol announced that injured national team forward Alan Pulido will travel back to Mexico on Monday for further examination.
The 26-year-old suffered a broken right arm Saturday during the second half of Mexico’s 2-1 win over Paraguay in an international friendly at CenturyLink Field. His club, Guadalajara, is expected to seek a second opinion and then create a recovery plan.
Pulido, who helped Chivas capture the 2017 Liga MX Apertura title, was expected to play a key role this month in Mexico’s defense of its CONCACAF Gold Cup title.
