MIAMI, Florida – Mexico and Panama became the first two teams to clinch berths in the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup semifinals following their respective quarterfinal victories on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Mexico
Mexico defeated Costa Rica 2-0 to remain unbeaten all-time against the Ticos in Gold Cup play, improving to 6W-3D-0L against Costa Rica in the tournament.
By virtue of their victory, Mexico advance to the semifinals at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada where they will face the winner of Sunday’s Jamaica-Guatemala quarterfinal.

Panama
Panama are through to the semifinals of the Gold Cup for the first time since 2015 following an impressive 4-0 triumph over Qatar in Saturday’s quarterfinal.
Ismael Diaz was the hero for the Canaleros by scoring the fastest hat trick in Gold Cup history with three goals in a span of just 10 second half minutes
Diaz and Panama will take their goal-scoring exploits to Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California where they will face the winner of Sunday’s United States-Canada quarterfinal.
