Team Profile
Dominica is hoping that with the right foundation, it soon will be able to build and achieve good results. The senior men’s national team struggled in the first-ever Concacaf Nations League, winning one and losing five, but put up a strong fight in World Cup qualification and now will look to earn promotion back to League B in the next edition of the CNL.
The team was able to earn a win and a draw in qualification for Qatar and had Panama on the ropes before the 2018 FIFA World Cup participants were able to find a late goal for a victory.
Dominica also found a win and a draw in qualification for the 2018 World Cup and now hopes to find more results in both qualification and the Nations League.
The women’s side hopes to grow in tandem with the men, with Dominica taking part in the Concacaf W Qualifiers.
The Dominica Football Association has been a member of Concacaf since 1994 after spending four years as an associate member. In addition to the national team setup, it maintains the Dominica Premier League, home to local clubs with a track record of success like Harlem United, Dublin FC and Bath Estate.
