MIAMI – The 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League continues on Monday with Group B and C of League B on display, including a winner-take-all matchup between Curaçao and Saint Lucia.
Separated by one point, Curaçao and Saint Lucia will face off for the top spot in Group B with promotion and a 2025 Gold Cup berth on the line.
Group C will also feature a first versus second place matchup as Haiti meets Puerto Rico. While Haiti has clinched the top spot, hosts Puerto Rico can still secure a spot in the Gold Cup prelims if it finishes as one of the two best group runners-up.
Grenada vs. Saint Martin
Grenada meets Saint Martin in Group B of League B at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Both sides seek to finish the tournament with a victory. Grenada is coming off a 4-nil win against then-group leaders Saint Lucia with second-half goals from Jermaine Francis, Regan Charles-Cook, Trevon Williams, and Myles Hippolyte.
Saint Martin will bid farewell to League B after securing relegation in a 5-nil loss to Curaçao. Before moving down, the nation will seek its second victory of the tournament after earning its own 4-nil win against Saint Lucia in October. Keelan Lebon scored twice in that encounter and is the nation’s top scorer in the current campaign.
Aruba vs. Sint Maarten
Aruba and Sint Maarten face off in Group C of League B at the Estadio Centroamericano de Mayagüez in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
Bound for League C after its latest result, Aruba will seek to depart with its first win of the campaign. Rovien Ostiana has two goals to lead the nation in scoring.
Sint Maarten’s two campaign victories have helped the nation maintain its League B status for the next edition. Gerwin Lake and Ronan Olivacce scored in a 2-0 win over Aruba last September.
Curaçao vs. Saint Lucia
Curaçao hosts Saint Lucia in Group B of League B at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curaçao.
The two met in their opening match of the group stage, with Saint Lucia winning 2-1 at Kirani James Athletic Stadium in St. George's, Grenada. Arkell Jude Boyd and Caniggia Elva scored for Saint Lucia, while Joshua Brenet struck the lone Curaçao goal.
Curaçao is undefeated in its four matches since, winning three and tying the other, and has risen to first place. Its one-point advantage means the nation can secure the top spot, promotion, and direct qualification to the Gold Cup with at least a draw. Jearl Margaritha scored four goals in Friday’s victory over Saint Martin and is the team’s leading scorer.
Despite falling in its previous two encounters, Saint Lucia controls its destiny and can return to first place with a victory. Caniggia Elva leads the team in scoring with three goals in the current campaign.
Haiti vs. Puerto Rico
Haiti and Puerto Rico square off in Group C of League B at the Estadio Centroamericano de Mayagüez in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
A perfect 5-0-0 record awarded Haiti the first spot in the group last Friday with an 8-nil victory against Sint Maarten. Les Grenadiers have found the back of the net 26 times and are the highest-scoring team in the CNL this campaign. Duckens Nazon is the leading scorer in League B with nine goals.
Puerto Rico has won three of its five matches to trail in second place. Alec Díaz, Gerald Díaz, and Ricardo Rivera each have two goals apiece to co-lead the team in scoring.
