MIAMI, Florida – A four-match window in League B saw a number of top performances from players across the 16 teams. Here are the ones who stood out the most at their respective position.
GK Nick Townsend, Antigua & Barbuda – Townsend was in net all four games for Antigua & Barbuda, recording two clean sheet victories and making 14 saves and 11 clearances for the Benna Boys.
DF Noah Powder, Trinidad & Tobago – The Soca Warriors earned nine points from four matches thanks in part to Powder, who had a brace in the 4-1 win versus Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and finished with two steals and two clearances during the window.
DF Ricardo Ade, Haiti – Ade was a strong presence in defense for Haiti, making four steals and five clearances, while completing 100 percent of his passes in two games played.
DF Daniel Bowry, Antigua & Barbuda – No defender in League B had more clearances than Bowry’s 10 in 387 minutes of action over the course of four games. He also added a steal.
DF Josue Quijano, Nicaragua – Quijano was seemingly everywhere for the Pinoleros. He scored in the 2-1 win over Trinidad & Tobago and finished the window with nine shots and 10 clearances.
MF Derrick Etienne, Jr., Haiti – Etienne Jr. always delivers his best in Concacaf competition and this window was no different. He scored two goals, had six steals and completed more than 83 percent of his passes during the four-match window.
MF Aricheell Hernandez, Cuba – Hernandez’s top-notch window was punctuated by his hat trick performance in the 3-1 win versus Antigua & Barbuda. The veteran finished with four goals and 86 percent of passes completed.
MF Levi Garcia, Trinidad & Tobago – If Garcia was close to goal and had the time and space, a shot was coming. The Soca Warriors man finished with 22 shots, yielding a goal in the 2-0 win over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He also collected two assists.
FW Carnejy Antoine, Haiti – Antoine scored four goals from 13 shots during the window, the highlight being his brace in three minutes in the 6-0 victory against Guyana. He also had three assists.
FW Joel Sarrucco, French Guiana– No player was more consistent from a scoring standpoint than Sarrucco, who scored in each of French Guiana’s four games to finish the window with four goals. He also had two clearances and completed more than 91 percent of his passes.
FW Thierry Ambrose, Guadeloupe – Ambrose finished the window with three goals, two of those being game-winning scores for Les Gwada Boys, in the 2-1 win versus Cuba and the 1-0 triumph over Barbados.
