Reyna, Turner, Glasgow earn Concacaf Nations League honors

ARLINGTON, Texas – The 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League is now complete following the 2-0 victory for the United States over Mexico in the Final of the 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League Finals on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

There were many top performances throughout the CNL in League A, League B and League C, including the following players who earned individual distinctions.

Best Player Award: Gio Reyna, United States

Gio Reyna of the United States has earned the Best Player Award for his top performances in the 2023-24 CNL. Reyna finished the tournament with two goals and two assists in four matches played. Reyna scored in the 3-0 quarterfinal first leg win for the U.S. against Trinidad and Tobago, followed by a goal in the Final versus Mexico. He also supplied a pair of assists in extra time in the 3-1 win for the U.S. against Jamaica in the semifinals.

Best Goalkeeper Award, presented by Degree: Matt Turner, United States

The Best Goalkeeper Award, presented by Degree, has been awarded to Matt Turner of the United States. Turner registered two clean sheets in four matches, including in the Final against Mexico. It is the second consecutive CNL in which Turner has won the Best GK Award.

Top Scorer Award, presented by Qatar Airways: Omari Glasgow, Guyana

Omari Glasgow of Guyana has won the Top Scorer Award, presented by Qatar Airways.

Per the competition’s regulations, a points system was used to determine the winner of the Top Scorer Award. In order to determine the Top Scorer Award winner, the three leagues are weighed as follows:

League A = 2 pts per goal scored

League B = 1.5 pts per goal scored

League C = 1 pt per goal scored

With his seven goals in League B, Glasgow finished with the highest points total of 10.5 to claim the award.

Young Player Award, presented by ARAMCO: Omari Glasgow, Guyana

Guyana youngster Omari Glasgow has won the Young Player Award, presented by ARAMCO. Glasgow was sensational for the Golden Jaguars in their campaign in League B. Guyana finished with a perfect 5W-0D-0L record and earned promotion to League A thanks in large part to Glasgow’s seven goals and one assist. At just 19 years of age, Glasgow scored in every one of Guyana’s five matches in League B, including a hat-trick in the opening 5-1 victory at Antigua and Barbuda.

Fair Play Award, presented by Degree: Panama

Panama have earned the Fair Play Award, presented by Degree, as the team that best conducted themselves on the field of play.
