Saint Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands to decide Group C of League C

MIAMI – The 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League continues with a group winner and a spot in the Play-In round to be decided on Tuesday.

The battle for the top spot in Group C will be decided when leaders Saint Kitts and Nevis face the Cayman Islands. The latter must win and score enough goals to attain a better goal difference.

The best second place team among three groups will earn the last spot in the Play-In round, which includes the three group winners. The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands will be vying to keep their chances of moving to the next round and play for a place in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Saint Kitts and Nevis vs. Cayman Islands

Saint Kitts and Nevis hosts the Cayman Islands in Group C at Warner Park in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Malique Roberts and Gvaune Amory scored to help Saint Kitts and Nevis to a 3-1 victory against the British Virgin Islands last Wednesday. The win extended a perfect start to 3-0-0 for the Sugar Boyz who will seek to close out a perfect campaign and seal their promotion spot.

Dimetri Douglas scored the lone goal of a 1-0 win for the Cayman Islands over the British Virgin Islands on Saturday. The victory kept the Cayman Islands in the race for the top spot in the group and promotion, as well as the spot in the Play-In round.

Barbados vs. The Bahamas

Barbados hosts The Bahamas in Group A at the Wildey Astro Turf Stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados. The encounter will pit the two top scorers of League C, both on five goals, in Barbados man Niall Reid-Stephen and The Bahamas scorer Brandon Adderley.

With a 3-0-0 record, Barbados has assured itself the top spot in the group and promotion. The nation will seek to finish its campaign with a perfect record. 

Niall Reid-Stephen is coming off a hat-trick performance against the U.S. Virgin Islands, his second multi-goal game in the campaign.

Brandon Adderley scored twice to lead the Bahamas to a 3-1 victory against the U.S. Virgin Islands on Saturday. A win could place the Bahamas in the Play-In round, depending on the result of the earlier match.

Belize vs. Turks and Caicos Islands

Belize hosts Turks and Caicos Islands in Group B at FFB Stadium in Belmopan, Belize.

The home side will close out its campaign in search of a fourth consecutive victory. Led by goalkeeper Charles Tillett, the Belize defense has yet to concede a goal during the current tournament.

Turks and Caicos Islands is coming off its first victory of the campaign and seeks to jump Anguilla in the standings to finish second in the group. Emmanuel Martin and Ledson Jerome scored in the 2-1 win against Anguilla.

Depending on results earlier in the day, Turks and Caicos Islands may also be in contention for the last Play-In spot. A win would be necessary to advance to the next round.
